Carolyn is a self-taught artist. Originally from Texas, she has traveled abroad and learned an even deeper appreciation for art. Seeing the frescoes and Renaissance Art in Italy was awe-inspiring and she uses what she has seen and photographed there as a constant source for art appreciation. Her education involves a B.A. from Mary Baldwin College in Theatre and Art. She also graduated from the Art Institute in Houston and currently enjoys classes at the Glassell School of Art at the Museum of Fine Arts also in Houston.
She has worked in the competitive market of faux finishes and wall design for over 15 years, turning plain spaces into fabulous areas, some of these can be seen in her extensive portfolio. Her theatre background as a stage manager and scenic artist absolutely enhances her skills in working with large areas as well. She also paints everything including guitars, children's furniture, and art cars. Designing logos and graphics for your business is also a possibility as well as a painting on canvas in any size or shape. No job is too large or too small. She works in the studio and/or on site.
